Neil, The ldm version is not really important here. It would help to know the GEMPAK version. The DCMXBF parameter is 102,400 in current versions of GEMPAK. The pattern you should be using is ^FT which just sends TAF bulletins to the decoder, rather than all ^F. The ^FT pattern is what is supplied in $NAWIPS/ldm/etc/templates/pqact.gempak_decoders.in. Likely, you are getting a very large non-taf bulletin since I do not see any similar message here.
