Title: FW: METEOSAT8 (2nd Gen) in GEMPAK--now no nav

I don't know if you guys saw this on the gembud list.  Can you help?  Is there a quick mod that I can make to GEMPAK to let it display the navigation with MSG imagery?  I can send you a MSG (Meteosat-8) AREA file if you need it.

Thanks,
Robert Mullenax

Your info worked great I can now display the image!, but there is no navigation.  It seems GEMPAK doesn't recognize the MSG navigation.  I tried a remapped and non-remapped image with the same result.

Anyone know anything about adding navigation for MSG to GEMPAK?

Thanks,
Robert

Robert,

Look at the entries in:

$GEMTBL/sat/imgtype.tbl

I think this is where you want to enter your image information. For more information
on the imagery you can use $GEMEXE/areaInfo.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know what the image type should be and what table does this info need to be entered into?
