Patrick, I logged in. I found that you have not configured GEMDATA in your $NAWIPS/Gemenviron and/or Gemenviron.profile) files. The default setting is the location we have here which you will see as: GEMDATA=/data/ldm/gempak On your machine, GEMDATA would be /home/ldm/data/gempak. I have an updated version of the precipitation type display script which takes advantage of the ability in the newer GEMPAK releases to do computations on grids of differing domains, which saves the step of interpolating grids with gdbiint in the version you have. But this won't help the problem of GEMDATA not being defined above. I copied theis over to unidata3:/home/ldm/NEXTYPE.csh.ruc2 if you want to worry about it later, but for now, getting the existing script running is probably the first step. Unless you specifically don't want this exchange in our database, I will file it with the relevant machine login etc removed as shown below. If you prefer that your message not be in our data base, I will create a summary anonymous reply that basically just contains the sentance about setting GEMDATA.
