Steve,
I will remember to use ipcs, ipcrm and/or cleanup -c when debugging
scripts. Thanks for the quick reply, Steve. Your work is GREATLY
appreciated.
Chirag.

Subject: 20050513: 20050505: gptraj, gpanot, gf driver - is there a
better way to overlay images?
CHIRAG,
The "Error in message send" message means that either the device driver,
or
the message queue that the gplt process uses to talk to the program or
device driver has been killed/removed. The stream of errors is the
gplt process trying to talk to the message queue, and when you kill it,
that stops.
You may still have some message queues hanging around, use the "ipcs"
command to see
if any are still there, and use the "ipcrm" command (or the supplied
cleanup
script, which you can run as "cleanup -c")to search for hung gplt
processes
and message queues.
If a session is ended without "gpend" running, such a logging out, or a
script terminating
abnormally, you could orphan a gplt process. Similarly, using ctrl-c to
terminate a program may
hang the message queue/gplt process.
