20050426: 20050426: [DM -33] and [DG-2]



Alexia,

Yes, older versions of GEMPAK will be able to read the grid file. Of
course, each user will have to access the correct datatype.tbl file.

The datatype.tbl entries require spaces to be such that all data are in the 
correct
columns. For WSETA, I have:

WSETA        $MODEL/wseta              YYYYMMDDHHfFFF_wseta.gem  CAT_GRD  
SCAT_FCT   -1     -1     -1      OFF/0/0

For your naming, it would be
WSETA        $MODEL                    YYMMDDHH_wseta.gem        CAT_GRD  
SCAT_FCT   -1     -1     -1

Since I don't know if your compressed the line for mailing below, or if it 
really looks like that,
I'd suggest double checking that.
