Steve,

 

This is Matt again from PSL.  I am still attempting to create contour plots of upper air wind data with SNCROSS.  The steps I take are…

 

  1. Saving the data from the U. of Wyoming database for a particular month

 

  1. Using SNEDIT I set snefil = file from U. Wyoming.dat;

                            I set snfile = same file name.gem,

 

The window says: Data for location at each time has been added to file.

 

  1. I then use SNCROSS to create the contour plot of the wind speeds but the x window display where the color plot should be is blank. 

 

The error message in the other window reads: data at each time is not in the file.

 

Maybe we these steps you can see what necessary step I might be missing.  As far as I can tell I am following the same exact steps you listed for Dusty in your many correspondences with him last year. 

Any help would be very greatly appreciated as we are nearing another deadline this week.
