And, you have sucessfully launched ntl so you have the shared color map? The messages about fonts are generally harmless. It usually means that the X display doesn't have all the fonts installed, so you will get a generic replacement. How about nwx which doesn't need lots of satellite colors? Or ncolor? The main thing is to make sure that you set the DISPLAY variable before you launched ntl. Steve
