Mike, You can use gdplot in GEMPAK 5.4 with slightly different syntax. But, for those using GEMPAK5.6, migrating to gdplot2 is suggested since it allows additional vector/scalar plot type combinations using GDPFUN instead of separate GFUNC and GVECT formulations.
