Patrick, The hurricane Bob files are only part of the source tar file. You can extract just that directory from the source tarfile if you download it with: gunzip -c ~gbuddy/nawips-5.6/gempak_upc5.6.a.tar.gz | tar tvf - gempak/data Other sample data sets can be obtained in gempak format from the comet casestudies pages.
