Chris, I have an updated areainfo.tar.Z in ~gbuddy/nawips-5.4/patches that uses yyyy naming. You can download this to $NAWIPS and unpack with: zcat areainfo.tar.Z | tar xvf - Then build and install with: cd $NAWIPS/unidata/programs/areainfo make all make install make clean This will allow you to migrate all of your names to yyyy and modify the Garp_defaults template accordingly.
