The only major change I had was to start >using Xvfb, but I don't see how that would affect things. In the home directory of the gempak account I used, there is a gemglb.nts file that has duplicate entries (I'm not sure how that happened). I've attached a copy to this message. If you look, there are duplicate entries for SFFILE and GDFILE (as well as many others): SFFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/surface/20000512_sao.gem GDFILE /usr/local/gempak/grids/current_analy.grd SFFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/mos/2000050712_nmos.gem GDFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/hds/2000050700_eta_grid211.gem I'd guess that it uses the last one of a variable it finds in the file, that's why you keep seeing the errors about the files from the 7th not existing. The quick solution is to delete gemglb.nts. As I mentioned earlier, it is better to have the script cd to a specific directory so it doesn't conflict with other scripts. Here is a message from Chiz to someone else from the archives on a way to do this: >Often when I have lots of scripts to run, I make each of them create >their own temporary working directory using the process number, eg: > >cd $GEMDATA/tmp >set WORK=ruc_gdplot.$$ >mkdir $WORK >cd $WORK > >..... > >rm -f * >cd .. >rmdir $WORK bad gemglb.nts: $RESPONDyes SFFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/surface/20000512_sao.gem AREA @zzv DATTIM all SFPARM text OUTPUT f//usr/local/gempak/html/metar/ohio/zzv/20000512 IDNTYP STID MAP 32 GAREA 38.0;-87.0;42.0;-78.0 PROJ STR/90.0;-95.0;0.0 SATFIL RADFIL LATLON 0 PANEL 0 TITLE 32/-2/Observed Sea Level Pressure (mb) ^ UTC TEXT 1/32//HW CLEAR NO DEVICE gf RCMFIL /tmp/tmprad.602 RADTIM current RADDUR 50 DITHER 0 MESO 17/2/1/2/hw TVS 2/1/1/2/hw CNTR 0 MAXTOP 31 RADINFO 0 ECHO 1 CLRBAR 1/h/cc/.45;.06 $MAPFIL COLORS 14 MARKER 0 FILTER YES SKPMIS NO LUTFIL DEFAULT STNPLT GDATTIM last GLEVEL 0 GVCORD none GFUNC pmsl GDFILE /usr/local/gempak/grids/current_analy.grd CINT 2 LINE 32/1/2 SCALE 0 HILO HLSYM 2;1/31//HW CONTUR 3/3 SKIP 0 FINT FLINE CTYPE C LSTALL GVECT WND WIND bk31 REFVEC $RESPONDyes SFFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/mos/2000050712_nmos.gem AREA @jbr DATTIM all SFPARM text OUTPUT f//usr/local/gempak/html/text/ngmmos/jbr.nmos IDNTYP STID MAP 32 GAREA 13;-125;55;-52 PROJ lcc SATFIL RADFIL LATLON 0 PANEL ur TITLE 32/-2/ETA 850 mb Height (m) Valid at ~ TEXT .8/32//HW CLEAR NO DEVICE gf|/usr/local/apache/htdocs/models/eta/eta_4panel_f048.gif RCMFIL /tmp/tmprad.602 RADTIM current RADDUR 50 DITHER 0 MESO 17/2/1/2/hw TVS 2/1/1/2/hw CNTR 0 MAXTOP 31 RADINFO 0 ECHO 1 CLRBAR $MAPFIL COLORS 101=white MARKER 0 FILTER YES SKPMIS NO LUTFIL DEFAULT STNPLT GDATTIM f048 GLEVEL 850 GVCORD PRES GFUNC sm9s(sm9s(hght)) GDFILE /usr/local/ldm/data/hds/2000050700_eta_grid211.gem CINT 40 LINE 32//2 SCALE 0 HILO HLSYM CONTUR 0 SKIP 0 FINT FLINE CTYPE C LSTALL GVECT WND WIND bk31 REFVEC GDNUM all GRDNAM DTAAREA GUESS GAMMA 0.3 SEARCH 20/EX NPASS 2
