Bob, Your machine is in 8-bit PseudoColor, you can use all 256 colors. For running Gempak on Linux system you may start Xfree86 only, absolutely DO NOT start windows and desktop managers (like enlightenment, Gnome ...) because they use more colors and Gempak can not allocate the needed colors. Another way to solve this problem is, using Matrox G 400 video card with dual heads and configuring Xfree86 V.4.0 to use dual heads technology.
