Mark,
Your YYYY will fail and create a dattim of 199904/0400.
Sfedit will only read 6 characters for YYMMDD in
$GEMPAKHOME/src/programs/sf/sfedit/sfedta.f line 65:
tim = cdata (2) (1:6) // '/' // cdata (3) (1:4)
Gemlib will assume if YY<20 then the year is 20YY, otherwise 19YY.
