Robert,

I have made statically linked binaries for gempak (including Garp)
available for Linux. Most Linux sites have been able to run the binary,
though you might not have some fonts that motif uses.

If you want to try the linux binary, its in:
~gbuddy/nawips-5.4/binary/linux
