Terence, The GOES-7 craft continued to operate until 1995, and the image model is supported in the current Gempak 5.4 release. Is your data in 8 bit McIDAS area files? There are GOES-7 sample data files in the $GEMPAKHOME/data directory in our distribution from the 1993 storm of the century as an example of that type of data. Can you provide me with more information about your data files, and tell me if you are able to display the sample files distributed with Gempak 5.4? Where did you obtain your satellite images?
