Thanks a bunch Steve,

I am going on vacation today and will incorporate this 
Monday.  This should help a lot.  I am having problems
getting the CGI scripts to work correctly, so I may have
to wait until I learn more Perl, but this solution will solve
the problem when I just create images from cron.
