Craig, I'm not sure I understand your question completely. Once you have the bufr.jar in you classpath in the IDE, then you can access any class from the jar. All you would need is to have an import for the bufr classes. Ie import ucar.bufr.* Then a statement like: BurfDump func = new BufrDump(); would be satisfied.
