I’m brand new to all this….

I recently began working on 3d visualization at Penn State. I am trying to locate and download weather data to import into vGeo, a 3d vis application. I found the data, and I have the grib file.

I need to convert grib to netcdf so I dl’ed and unzipped the decoders-4.1.0.tar.Z file. What do I do next? I see no .exe files so how do I use gribtonc?

Thanks for your patience in helping me get started in this new and exciting venture.
