Wanli, The basic problem with the compilation is that you are using a STD C compiler. The code would compile w/o changes if you use a ANSI C compiler, which most compilers are today. If your using a SUN it is located at: /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc to get the correct compiler : % setenv CC /opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc If you are still having trouble finding the ANSI C compiler on your machine, I can help you locate it.
