Meteosat Satellites to be put in safe-mode during year 2000 transition

Eumetsat has announced that for safety reasons, all Meteosat satellites
will be put in "safe-mode" during the year 2000 transition.  No
Meteosat-7 or Meteosat-5 data will be acquired for 0000-0030UTC ,
January 1, 2000.
