Unidata CONDUIT users: On Tuesday, June 29 at 12Z, a suite of NDFD products will be added to the IDD CONDUIT datastream in response to community requests. NB: The addition of the NDFD products to CONDUIT could be delayed by the declaration of a Critical Weather Day(s) by the NWS. The set of products being added are detailed in: Unidata HomePage http://www.unidata.ucar.edu ->Data http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data ->CONDUIT http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/conduit_data_2.html ->NDFD products included in CONDUIT http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/conduit_ndfd_20100629.html Comments: - the set of NDFD products being added will increase the CONDUIT data volume by approximately 1 GB/day - current GRIB tables will be needed to process the data products correctly in GEMPAK - the new products have been successfully tested in the TDS (THREDDS Data Server) and IDV Acknowledgement: - since NDFD products are not generated or served by NCEP, the addition of the products to CONDUIT was not straightforward. Unidata would like to extend its thanks to all of the folks in NOAA who made this addition possible and who created procedures that will make it simpler to update CONDUIT contents in the future! In particular, we want to thank: Rebecca Cosgrove Patrick O'Reilly NCEP/NCO Dataflow Team Please send any/all questions or comments to: Unidata CONDUIT Support <address@hidden> Cheers, Tom Yoksas Unidata User Support --
