Hi Troy, There is no cost for the CD's... Simply access the case you desire from the following URL: http://www.joss.ucar.edu/cometCases/avail.html (keep in mind we currently have only cases 20,23,25,27 in CD format, you can, of course, get the others on tape at present) and follow the instructions. You will be looking for the "Complete Dataset".. Then select "Obtain Data and Information " Then enter the "search" button to match the time with the case.. Then select "CD-ROM" as your format choice. We then will mail the CD to the address given... Thank you, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Thu, 6 Jun 2002, Troy Kimmel wrote: > Jeff: > Quick question. > I'd love to begin to get some of this data (CD-ROM) for the COMET Case > Studies for use in my Severe and Unusual Weather class here at UT... and, in > fact, catalog these CDs in our Weather and Climate Resource Center so that > students could have access. > What's the process of getting the COMET CD-ROMs (cost, etc).. just > wondering. > > Thanks, > Troy > > Jeff Weber wrote: > > > Casestudy community, > > > > Unidata is pleased to announce the availability of selected COMET Case > > Studies on CD-ROM. > > > > COMET Case Study pages: > > > > http://www.joss.ucar.edu/cometCases/ > > > > and > > > > http://www.joss.ucar.edu/cometCases/avail.html > > > > Currently, the cases available in CD-ROM format are: > > > > COMET Case Study 020, Hurricane Floyd, 14-18 September 1999 > > COMET Case Study 023, Winter Severe Weather, 08-11 November 1998 > > COMET Case Study 025, Salt Lake City Tornado/Long Island Flash Flood, > > 11-12 August 1999 > > > > and > > > > COMET Case Study 027, Southern Louisiana Tornados, 01-02 January 1999 > > > > Follow the same instructions as before, but now you will have the choice > > to select CD-ROM as well as high or low density 8mm exabyte tapes. > > > > We hope to make all cases available in this format in the future. > > > > Comments and suggestions are always welcome. > > > > Thank you for participating in the COMET Case Study Library, > > > > -Jeff > > ____________________________ _____________________ > > Jeff Weber address@hidden > > Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 > > NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 > > University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln > > http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 > > ________________________________________ ______________________ > > -- > Troy M.
