Hello Marilyn, I do not have specifically any documents that describe the peril experienced on the Maine coastline during this storm. However, there are a few documents that I have linked to that have some information regarding number of deaths, depth of snowfall, etc. for that region. I have scoured our text bulletins that accompany our Storm of the Century casestudy, and did not find any reference to either Bar Harbor or Kennebunkport. I think you will find some useful info at: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/casestudies/ofInterest/ and scroll down until you see: Case studies of existing COMET cases Case 001: Storm of the Century NCDC University of Hawaii Florida State University These links may provide you with the info you need... Good luck with your book and feel free to ask any more questions you may have, or any data requests. Cheers, -Jeff ____________________________ _____________________ Jeff Weber address@hidden Unidata Support PH:303-497-8676 NWS-COMET Case Study Library FX:303-497-8690 University Corp for Atmospheric Research 3300 Mitchell Ln http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/staff/jweber Boulder,Co 80307-3000 ________________________________________ ______________________ On Tue, 10 Apr 2001, Unidata Support wrote: > > ------- Forwarded Message > > >To: <address@hidden> > >From: "Marilyn Joseph" <address@hidden> > >Subject: Storm of the Century - March, 1993 > >Organization: UCAR/Unidata > >Keywords: 200104110110.f3B1ApL00345 > > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > > ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01C0C1FA.8D734360 > Content-Type: text/plain; > charset="iso-8859-1" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > I am writing a novel and am describing the S of the C in March, 1993. = > The only information I'm not able to find is the particular damage it = > did in the Bar Harbor and Kennbunkport, Maine areas specifically or to = > the Maine coastline in general. > I greatly appreciate your help and will acknowledge same in the = > Acknowledgements in the book. > > address@hidden > > ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01C0C1FA.8D734360 > Content-Type: text/html; > charset="iso-8859-1" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> > <HTML><HEAD> > <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dwindows-1252" = > http-equiv=3DContent-Type> > <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2314.1000" name=3DGENERATOR></HEAD> > <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> > <DIV><FONT size=3D2>I am writing a novel and am describing the S of the = > C in=20 > March, 1993.
