Hopefully your tape drive can read high density formatted tapes. If so you only need to change your command of: tar -xvf /dev/rmt/0mnb m for "medium density" to this command.... tar -xvf /dev/rmt/0hnb h for "high density" There are (2) tar files on the tape. The command of: tar -xvf /dev/rmt/0hnb should generate the info files first, and then re-executing the tar command should release the data files. This is done by the "n" in the command for no rewind. After executing the tar command the second time you should have all the data, but execute the tar one more time to make sure there are no more tar files. Then you can rewoffl. If your tape machine is not capable of high density reading and you do not have acces to a high density tape machine we will need to send you another tape in the low density format. I hope this clears up some issues for you, if not please contact me again. Or if you need the low format tape I can speed up that process for you as well.
