Hi there, > We were wondering whether there are any AWIPS II training videos, lectures or > modules available > for the novice. Also, are there specialized types of training offered, either > on site or virtually? > > Please let us know. As for trainings go, we have two online courses for both CAVE and python-awips, called Learn AWIPS CAVE, and Learn Python-AWIPS, respectively. Those can be found at our Unidata eLearning site here: https://elearning.unidata.ucar.edu/ We also have a bi-weekly blog series, AWIPS Tips, that's been running consecutively for almost 2 years, which range in topics for CAVE, EDEX, python-awips, and more: https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/tags/awipstips All of those blogs are listed on our Educational Resources page, organized by category: http://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/#awips-tips-blog-series All of our educational material for AWIPS is found on that page as well: http://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/ At this time we don't have any in-person or virtual workshops planned, but that is something we've been open to in the past. Do you have more details about what kind of training you are looking for? Let me know if any of this helps.
