This seems to point to a networking issue where your laptop isn't able to access data from our EDEX server. Do you have any ports (specifically 9582 and 9581) blocked or anything setup networking that would block something? What's your username and computer name? I can try to look through our logs. I'm guessing not, but do you have an folders in caveData\common\base\ ? When you tried the VM did the Models menu populate correctly? > After your questions I looked at preferences and it was correct.
