Hi there, > Are there plans to update AWIPS for macOS Monterey, especially since > Python2 is not supported? I would like to be able to view METAR data again, > among other things. Thanks so much in advance! Thanks for the question! We are working on developing version 20 of AWIPS right now. Unfortunately we do not have a release date in mind just yet, but we are hoping to potentially release a beta by the end of the year. We can aim to make that beta available on Mac as well. Version 20 moves from Python2 to Python3, so it will be fully supported on the latest version of Mac Monterey. Sorry it's still a little down the road! --Shay Carter She/Her/Hers AWIPS Software Engineer UCAR - Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: IUH-913046 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
