Hi there, > I am a student at the University of Connecticut currently doing a research > internship at the Eversource Energy Center. We'd like to use AWIPS for > the prediction of photovoltaic energy production. We are only interested > in GOES-R data for the New England area, so we are concerned about not > getting more data than we really need. I am contacting you to ask you > if you have any instructions/manuals that we can use for extracting only > GOES-R data through EDEX or any other information you can provide. Depending on what you're wanting to do, you might just be able to use our free EDEX server? Have you tried downloading CAVE and pointing to our server at: edex-cloud.unidata.ucar.edu It doesn't necessarily sound like you need to run your own EDEX server, but if that is something you really desire/need to do, we can help you set that up as well. --Shay Carter She/Her/Hers AWIPS Software Engineer UCAR - Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: NWO-393528 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
