Hi there,

Yes, the VM is always updated when we put out a new release.  You can either 
download
the new zipped VM file, or inside the VM you could follow our instructions for 
updating CAVE using the awips_install.sh file.  These instructions are at the 
bottom
of each of our release announcements:
