Hi Jesse, > I finally got a hold of our IT to help out. I did everything below but still > no dice. Dang, I'm sorry to hear that didn't work. > I think the issue is miniconda3 not downloading correctly. I think this is the issue too. Do you now have a Miniconda3 or miniconda3 folder in your home directory? > I click the checkbox for Add Miniconda3 to my PATH environment variable but > nothing > shows in there after I do. I went back to look at the picture you sent me of > the > Path Environment variable and the second line in > "\miniconda3\Library\mingw-w64\bin" > that is not in the miniconda3 folder. I tried searching for it but it is not > there. When you went through the miniconda installation dialog, did you have administrative privileges? Did it ever prompt for an admin password? > The "\miniconda3\Library\usr\bin" is not there either. I'm not sure how to > resolve > that? Could it be an issue with me having Anaconda installed? I'm starting to think this is the only noticeable difference between your machine, and other machines which we've successfully installed CAVE (and all dependencies on). I assume you really don't want to get rid of Anaconda since you're probably already using python for some other projects on that machine, correct? Do you have any other machine at your disposal, so you wouldn't have to clobber/erase your Anaconda installation? The only other suggestion would be to fully uninstall both Anaconda and Miniconda *again*, and then reinstall Miniconda again and set up all your python environments in miniconda. Although I don't know how much work that will take to make sure existing python projects will still work. > I did notice this time that I have a folder on my C drive that is PYTHONHOME > and > with in the folder there is a DLL's folder, and within that folder there is > gridslice. > That's something new. Thanks for the help. Did you re-run the awips-cave.msi file? We did change our installer to try and identify the proper miniconda path and put the gridslice package in there appropriately, but it sounds like something went wrong there. --Shay Carter She/Her/Hers AWIPS Software Engineer UCAR - Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: APZ-232896 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Urgent Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
