Hi Pete, You actually have the option from "Import GIS" to load it as a product or a map. If you load it as a product you can specify the times the product is valid for or if it is more a static image, you can load it as a map. If you have your own EDEX you can actually add the shapefile to the database and have it become an select-able entry from the maps menu.
