To run your own EDEX you can read through some of our documentation: http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-edex/ Just like each WFO has their own EDEX, you would essentially be running and in charge of your own EDEX to decide which products to ingest/display/etc. You would also need access to an LDM datafeed to ingest data into your EDEX to actually visualize data.
