[AWIPS #DZZ-515874]: CAVE taking ages to load

Hi Matthew,

Unfortunately, AWIPS is a bandwidth-intensive program and will need a 
sufficient connection in order
to perform properly.  I don't think you will see any improvements while still 
using your hotspot.
You should be able to install CAVE on other machines (you had mentioned) 
relatively easy.  We have
options for both Mac and Windows on our install webpage:
http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-cave/
I'm sorry I don't have something better to offer you at the moment, but 
currently it does need a 
sufficient bandwidth in order to run smoothly.
