Hi Dustin,

Thanks for sending that. Question - where did you get the awips2-cave rpm? 

Typically, when installing CAVE via the awips2.repo file there are more rpms 
needed than just the awips2-cave rpm. There are specific AWIPS2 python and java 
modules that also need to be installed. I did try converting all 20 of those 
rpms over to debian and installing and I will say that corrected your problems 
2 and 3 (the new map, and panning turned on automatically). In general the 
first time running CAVE on any OS it takes a bit to connect.

The general functionality of most products display correctly using this way, 
however still there are some issues with the python rpms that cause a few 
products not to load (ex. METAR Station Plots).
