Hi Brian, Running the command 'edex start' **should** start all processes as the user awips. I don't know how the ldm got started as root, but I've had this problem once before when I was setting up our test edex, although I'm not sure how to replicate it. Everything should be fine now. Can you verify that all processes are running as user awips? And okay, I believe fxalpha should be fine as the group. Thanks. --Shay Carter Software Engineer II UCAR - Unidata Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: GXY-460628 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
