Hi Greg,

I asked around to a few contacts I have who are familiar with the DAF and they 
responded.
Unfortunately, they said "the consensus is that the GFE grid history is not 
accessible via the DAF."
So, I know that's not what you want to hear, but that's the furthest I've 
gotten as of now.
I asked what the purpose of those python classes that we found were, but I 
guess it's not for 
accessing in the DAF, unfortunately.

Are you using our edex for your data source (edex-cloud.unidata.ucar.edu)?
