Hi Wyatt, I'd try bumping it up to at least 16GB. There should be no issue with that seeming as your machine has 32GB of RAM. Also, I did a quick google search, and it does seem like you might be able to hook up an NVIDIA GPU to a mac using an external GPU? This article is from a few years ago, but might offer some insight? https://theunlockr.com/how-to-use-nvidia-cards-with-your-mac-egpu/ It might be a cheaper alternative than buying a complete separate machine. I've never done this before so I can't guarantee that CAVE would work if you got it working, but it might? Just a thought. Also if you do build a separate machine for AWIPS purposes, I would recommend a Linux (Centos/Redhat) operating system. --Shay Carter Software Engineer II UCAR - Unidata Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: RAB-671867 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
