[AWIPS #QPD-426476]: Unable to start CAVE

I have struggled with this problem on CentOS 6.6 for a long time and have not 
been told of any solution by the folks upstream since none of the NWS 
developers use 6.6.  CentOS 6.5 is the only supported operating system for 
AWIPS II at this time, until I can figure this out, but I have few leads.
