I'm not sure.  This is the first I've heard of it on RHEL.  The most recent 
version of CAVE in the repository is 14.2.1-18n1.  Can you run "yum clean all" 
and then yum groupinstall awips2-cave again to confirm that this problem exists 
in the latest?
