Hello Changbao, > I log out the current root account, and log back again in order, but when I > want to start the EDEX server by uysing the following command: > [root@eos ~]# edex start > > Nothing happened. Even no error was thrown! This is very odd. I would recommend first running "edex setup" to make sure that the correct file edits have been made. /awips2/data/pg_hba.conf should contain the IP subnet address for your EDEX server (which is found by the "edex setup" command using "ifconfig"). /awips2/edex/bin/setup.env should contain your hostname, which is found with the command "hostname". If these files look good, I suggest starting each service individually and watching for any error message. To start services manually, in order: service edex_postgres start service httpd-pypies start service qpidd start service edex_camel start Hope that these instruction help you diagnose the problem. Please let me know what you find. Michael James Unidata Program Center Boulder, CO Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: VIL-251777 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open
