[AWIPS #ZLN-995452]: edex postgres won't start

Hi Nathan,

I am also curious why postgres is not starting on your machine.  Does "edex 
setup" try to edit any files?  Are you given any messages if you attempt to 
stop/start the edex_postgres service individually?

(as root)

service edex_postgres start

If you look in /awips2/data/pg_log/ you will see one log file for each day of 
the week, you want to look at the latest file:
cd /awips2/data/pg_log/
ls -altr
-rw-------  1 awips awips    76135610 Sep  5 18:51 postgresql-Friday.log

vi /awips2/data/pg_log/postgresql-Friday.log
