Hi Rich,

I grabbed the wave file and dropped it in /awips2/edex/data/manual/ and it was 
decoded by the grid (formerly "grib") decoder, confirmed in the EDEX ingest 
grib log and in postgres.  

That is a pretty good sign that the file will display in CAVE.  In D2D the 
product can be loaded from the product browser, and in the National Centers 
Perspective it can be loaded from the Data Manager as long as the menu includes 
the correct alias for the product (like "gfs", "nam12", etc.).
