[UDUNITS #XPM-134840]: compiling udunits 1.12.9 using gfortran/gcc v 4.4.0 c ompilers

For some reason, those files were not attached to your email.  Would
you please resend them along with the file "configure.log", which is
the combined output from the standard output and standard error streams.
