Great! > What is Perl extension, by the way? Thanks. Perl is a popular scripting language. The UDUNITS extension module for perl allows perl scripts to access the UDUNITS library. Setting the PERL environment variable to the empty string causees the build processs to ignore this feature. Since you don't know what it is, you probably don't need it.
