If you already received this response, please ignore.

Question 1:

Yes, the conduit feed in delivered via land line and the other NOAAPORT
satellite. There's a difference because of volume limits on the satellite
feed. The conduit feed has higher resolution, NCEP uses this term broadly.
It could mean more parameters, more levels, more grid points and a slightly
larger grid size. This information is available when one looks at the
models description when a file is selected. Hope this helps.
