Hi Shiva, > I am trying to obtain forecasts of various atmospheric quantities for > predicting solar radiation. I use "NetCDF Subset Service for Grids as > Point Data" for a specified latitude and longitude of interest to me. I > noticed the following note on your webpage > > Within Bounding Box: > > North: 90.0000 > South: -90.0000 > East: -1.0000 > West: 0.0000 > > I am a little bit confused about how to specify longitude. Should the > longitude always be between 0 and -1. Kindly advise. That is a bug on our end. The longitude of the data goes from 0 to 359 but the longitude in the form mistakenly got normalized into the range [-180,180] so 359 became -1. However, it is only the display that is affected. The form will return the desired data if you specify longitude with values in the [0,360] range. > I am also confused about the time zone. The points of interest to me are > in EST. However the data set that you post on your webpage has the UTC > tag "Z" on it. Kindly confirm whether you report out the forecasts for a > specified location (longitude and latitude) at the corresponding UTC > time. Yes, all our times are in UTC.
