However, if I'm understanding the question: do we have any plotting examples creating maps with domains which cross the dateline? The answer to that currently is no, but we'd be glad to accept a contribution or put one together sometime in the future! Also, in MetPy 1.0.1 (released just two weeks ago!) we fixed an issue where if you were using our Declarative Interface (https://unidata.github.io/MetPy/latest/tutorials/declarative_tutorial.html), contour maps would break in certain domains, including crossing the dateline.
