Hi Gilbert, re: all of the ADDE datasets _are_ correctly setup and accessible from weather2.admin.niu.edu re: can't access data from weather2's ADDE server from weather3 > Correct, and... > When running McIDAS on weather3, pointing to datasets at weather2, I get > no data, RC=2 errors on the McIDAS display window on weather3. Which datasets were you trying to access? Also, what user were you logged in as when you tried the access? re: > > 2) weather3 is setup to serve _some_ (not all) of the data available in the > > IDD streams: > > > > NEXRCOMP > > RTIMAGES > > RTNEXRAD > > TOPO > > > > RTPTSRC > > RTWXTEXT > > > > Missing are: > > > > CIMSS > > GINICOMP > > GINIEAST > > GINIWEST > > OK. How can I set the latter up? Do you really want to setup ADDE serving of this data from weather3 (serving, not access)? The reason I ask is your next comment: > Actually, I am writing them for both GEMPAK and McIDAS on weather2. re: weather.admin is serving an even smaller set of data > OK. re: when testing ADDE access, make sure that you are pointing where you think you are pointing. I.e., use DATALOC to verify where you are trying to access data. > Yes, but I don't want to do that (on weather3, ??? I thought your objective was to access data on weather2 through ADDE from weather3 and weather. > I do want to mirror > weather2, but not have both machines active with full data sets at any one > given time). OK. So I am a bit confused. Do you want to try and get weather and weather3 setup to serve the same set of data as weather2, or is the setup now sufficient? > ******************************************************************************* > Gilbert Sebenste ******** > (My opinions only!) ****** > Staff Meteorologist, Northern Illinois University **** > E-mail: address@hidden *** > web: http://weather.admin.niu.edu ** > ******************************************************************************* > > Cheers, Tom **************************************************************************** Unidata User Support UCAR Unidata Program (303) 497-8642 P.O.
