In the ftp dir unix/770 the WARNING >file states "Note to FTPers: McIDAS-X 7.70 has not been officially released >yet." > >but the webpage says it has been. Not removing the WARNING file was an oversight on my part; I just removed it. 7.70 was officially released back in December. >So which is it? Is it in a state where you are offering support for it >because I was intending on building a rh 7.1 system with new >mcidas and ldm etc 7.70 was officially released in December, and I am fully supporting it. You may want to wait a bit before upgrading your machines to RH 7.1: o A small problem related to the LDM and 7.1 was recently found at Northern Illinois. I believe that Anne Wilson is planning on doing a small upgrade to the LDM to get around the problem in the near future (exactly when, I can't tell you). o I will be putting out and addendum for McIDAS-X 7.7 as soon as I can find and fix a bug in the Fkey menu system (related to selection of X visuals). >thanks Sorry for the oversight wrt WARNING... Tom
