Sorry - but it occurred to me an even simpler solution. As a full pqact.conf entry, something similar to this would get you all SRUS56 products *except* those that are RR9: WMO ^SRUS56 (....) (..)(..)(..) /p(RR[^9])(...) FILE -close /carriesdata/SRUS56_data/\1/\5/%Y%m%d_%H%M_\5\6.txt The "not" you are looking for is the [^9] - the carrot precedes all the individual characters you do NOT want. And it can be a list . . . such that [^159] would NOT save off any PILs that RR1, RR5, or RR9.
